Happy October/Halloween everyone! This month has been busy for me, especially the last half of the month. Even with all of the work, I still wanted to take the time to get into spooky season, and enjoying more of the fall season. October is definitely one of my favorite months, and I’m glad I had the time to have fun. Here’s what I’ve been up to this month:
1) Fall Shopping
Apples and pumpkins are in season, and I always go to my local farmers market to pick them. They also have fresh apple cider. I like to drink it warmed with spices like cinnamon, clove, ginger, etc.
2)Creating Fall Foods and Drinks
I love making foods based on the seasons. I make things like Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal for breakfast, and Pumpkin Tomato Basil Spaghetti for dinner. I also made seasonal drinks for my Autumn Café theme. So far I’ve made Autumn Chai, Ube Black Sesame Matcha, and Apple Pie Cider. Everything has been very delicious, and it’s definitely got me into the fall spirit.
3) Pumpkin Carving/Decorating
I love pumpkin carving! I started carving pumpkins a couple years ago, and I’ve been doing it almost every year since. Along with my Jack O’ Lantern, I’ve also decorated my home and room for the season, with more pumpkins, mums, and lights.
4) Halloween Arts and Crafts
I started some drawings and sewing projects for this month, but I haven’t had the chance to finish them in time for Halloween. I always feel inspired to do art projects around this time. There were even a few art challenges that I wanted to try and participate in. While I didn’t participate in the challenges this month, I will be drawing the prompts at my own pace. I’ll share my progress when I get more of them done.
5) Finishing My Fall Shop Update
Even though it was very tiring to restock my shop, I’m glad I finally did it for the fall. I have all of the fall collection, plus other popular items, back in stock. I also have new items like body butters and hair butter. If you haven’t already, feel free to check out my shop.
6)Watching Spooky Movies and TV Shows
Every year, I put together a stack of movies and tv shows that fits the season. I have my go-tos, plus any movies and shows I haven’t seen yet. What’s your favorite thing to watch during this season? My favorite rewatches are Coraline, The Craft, Eve’s Bayou, Charmed, and more.
